Albert Azout is a Venture Partner at Cota Capital. Albert advises on private portfolio investments with a specific focus on infrastructure, workflow automation, software developer life cycle, and big data/analytics. 

Prior to Cota, Albert served as a Senior Product Manager for data science and ad optimization at AOL. Out of his family office, Patagonia Capital, Albert has made several direct investments, including unicorns such as Hippo Insurance and Oak North. His direct investments include several exits, such as: Qwiki (acquired by Yahoo!), Uber (NYSE: UBER), Bina Technologies (acquired by Roche), and DeepScale (acquired by Tesla). 

Previously, Albert sold his company, Velos, to AOL/Verizon in 2015. Prior to Velos, Albert founded StyleCaster Media Group, a premier style destination that delivers a daily forecast of need-to-know fashion, beauty, entertainment, and lifestyle intel for millions of consumers on web and mobile. StyleCaster was purchased by Great Hill Partners and rolled into SheKnows Media, and subsequently acquired by Penske Media Corporation. Prior to StyleCaster, Albert co-founded Sub Rosa, a brand strategy and design agency based in New York. Albert started his career in 2001 at Lehman Brothers in New York, where he was a software engineer in the analytics group within private client services.

Albert has a B.A. in Finance and Economics from Babson College.
