Daniel Karp joined Cota Capital as a Partner on the investment team in 2026. He focuses on early-stage investments in enterprise technology, with particular experience in cloud and AI infrastructure, cybersecurity, networking, semiconductors, optics, data management, and developer tools.
Prior to joining Cota, Daniel was a General Partner at Cervin Ventures, where he focused on early-stage enterprise software investments. Previously, Daniel was a member of Cisco’s Investments and M&A team, where he worked on investments and acquisitions across networking, cloud, and data centers. He also held business development and product management roles at Microsoft, including with the Azure team and Microsoft’s Startup Business Group.
Daniel began his venture capital career at Amiti Ventures, where he focused on semiconductor and cybersecurity investments. Earlier in his career, he worked as an ASIC engineer developing mobile baseband infrastructure and flash memory controllers.
Daniel received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Tel Aviv University and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
