Garrett Larsson is no stranger to building successful technology companies. As co-founder and CEO of Rhombus Systems, he’s leveraging his extensive background in enterprise software to revolutionize the video security industry. Before launching Rhombus in 2016, Garrett co-founded Mojave Networks, a mobile security company acquired by Sophos, and Lumitrend, which was sold to Asurion and became Asurion Mobile Applications.

A Stanford University computer science graduate, Garrett recognized a critical gap in the market while selling enterprise IT solutions: while many systems had moved to the cloud, video security remained stuck with outdated hardware, cumbersome interfaces, and complex management requirements. Traditional security cameras and systems were difficult to deploy, required specialized knowledge to maintain, and provided limited value beyond basic recording functions.

Rhombus Systems was born from Garrett’s vision to transform passive, unintelligent video security systems into smart, cloud-managed solutions that deliver real business value. Alongside co-founders Brandon Salzberg (VP of Engineering), Omar Khan (CTO), and Dave Gustafson (VP of Hardware), Garrett has built a company that combines sophisticated AI capabilities with easy-to-use cloud management to create a comprehensive physical security platform.
